Blue Weber, Public Relation Advisor
As an advocate of a health and vibrant downtown, Blue has been working to enhance the downtown community for about 6 years. Through his work with private businesses, to the creation of a few non-profits such as Alley Alive, ArtNest, and a founding member of Dakno Gaming, Blue likes to keep himself busy. He is currently the Executive Director at the Downtown Development Association where he continues to advocate for a growing downtown neighborhood. He continues to ensure that the change of Grand Forks is for the betterment of everyone and does not exclude changing demographics.
Dr. Bridget Tetteh-Batsa, Communication Advisor
Dr. Tetter-Batsa is a lecturer at the University of North Dakota; She has taught and continues to teach courses in freshman composition, writing for public audiences, creative non-fiction, and American literature and culture. She also taught elementary and intermediate level African Language courses for the African Studies Department at Ohio University. Bridget specializes in Critical Race Theory, African and African American Literature, and Postcolonial Literature and Theory. She is a self-identifying Afropolitan Feminist interested in African/Black Feminist texts that delineate agency for Black/African female immigrants in the United States of America. Bridget enjoys “time-traveling” in the cross-cultural sense of that word; she sees community-centered art and art-performance as unique moments in cross-cultural dialogue, understanding, and collaboration.
Warren Sai, Volunteer Connection Advisor
Warren Sai, was born and raised in France. He is a New American of African descent with roots in the Central Republic of Africa and Martinique in the Caribbean. He is a former president of the African student Union (ASU- University of North Dakota). Warren is a small restaurant owner and a Realtor and he hopes to bring his expertise to the African Arts Arena and its mission to embrace the diversity of the African culture through its Arts, Community Engagement and Festivals to the greater Grand Forks Community.
